Sign up for a farm share today

How it works

You purchase a subscription known as a “farm share.”

You pick up your produce every other week from May to October at the site you choose. If you need to skip a week, you just have to let us know 1 week before your next pickup. We charge you 6 days before each pickup.

What to expect

You can expect a variety of veggies, fruits, and herbs, all locally grown and freshly harvested. What’s in your share each time depends on where we’re at in the season and what the weather looks like that week.

Where to pickup

OU Health Science Center (OKC) - Tuesdays
OK Dept. of Ag, Food, and Forestry (OKC) - Tuesdays
OU Main Campus (Norman) - Wednesdays
OU Tulsa Campus (Tulsa) - Thursdays

What is a Farm Share?

Our farm share is a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture). A CSA connects people to the farmers who grow their food. In most CSA models, customers commit to a farm or group of farms (like the OKC Food Hub!) for a harvest season. You get a share of the harvest from a source you can trust, and farmers get a better idea of how much to grow for the season. It’s a win-win!

Why get a Farm Share?

Fresh & local
Food from the grocery store has often
traveled hundreds or thousands of miles and
been in transit/on the shelf for weeks or months. It’s
also often picked before it’s ripe, which leaves it
with lower nutritional value.
Our produce is all freshly harvested
from farmers right here in Oklahoma.
Fresh food = more nutrient-dense and flavorful

Convenient
We bring the farmers market to you! You just
show up to the location of your choice every
other week through the season to fill up your
farm basket.

Variety
Since we work with 25+ producers across
Oklahoma, you’ll get a wide variety of local
produce during the season.

Testimonials

“I like the products or produce that I would not normally go to the store to purchase. By receiving different or almost unique produce, I was able to experiment with new recipes and flavors. Through this program I learned how to roast a mix of root veggies, make homemade eggplant parm, fry fresh okra, and pickle banana peppers.”

“My small share provided veggies for me (a fruit and veggie lover) and my 83-year-old Dad who lives independently. He always says he does not like vegetables - but has raved about how fresh and delicious the produce was from the [CSA] shares. Because of this he's branched out into more fruits and veggies from the grocery store - it's made a big difference to his diet!”

“I liked having “in season” items already picked for me! It helped me be creative in a number of ways that led to more veggie consumption by members of the household that typically don't eat them.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I get to choose my veggies?
Sort of! We bring bins of produce for you to pick from. We always give a few choices (for example, squash or zucchini / spinach, lettuce, or kale), but we also have some things that aren’t choices (for example, you pick 3 sweet potatoes, 2 tomatoes, etc.). We try to accommodate substitutions when possible, but it isn’t a guarantee.

What if I go out of town and can’t pick up my share?
You have a few options. You can gift it to a friend for that week, place a hold in your account (reach out with questions on how to do this), or let us know and we will donate it.

Where do the veggies come from?
All of the produce you’ll receive comes from the 25 small and mid-size farmers we work with across Oklahoma.
